Hello there!

 

I am Jitakhshi and I am 23.

 

I originally hail from a very beautiful little town named Tezpur, located in the heart of North East India.

​

"Jitakhshi's FoodStory" is very special to me as it took me quite some time to finally come to a stage where I am ready to share my ultimate love for food and cooking.

 

Let me tell you how it all began...

 

I started cooking at the age of 10 when my little sister was born and I had to help maa in the kitchen with the daily chores.​

I still remember I was a tiny little girl then and I had to stand on a chair to be able to flip my omelette on the frying pan.....that was fun!!

 

Adding to it, I belong to a family where everyone is a big foodie and everyone shares the same love and passion for cooking. My grandma is the biggest inspiration to all of us. She is in her late 80s now, yet she still cooks and experiments with recipes with the same zeal and excitement.

Now, lets come to me....

 

I am a computer science engineer by profession but COOKING is the ultimate resort I want to live in. Cooking is my therapy, my greatest passion and my favourite hobby since I was a little kid.

I cook when I'm happy.

I cook when I'm sad.

 

I love when people smile and share happiness with good food and there is a no bigger joy for me in being able to see people share the same happiness because of my cooked food.

 

"Jitakhshi's FoodStory" is a result of all the love, support and overwhelming appreciation and motivation that I have received from my family, my friends and my closed ones who had been a part of my food journey since the beginning.

 

I am here to share my stories with food and hope to inspire many more like me.
