This is a very interesting burger with a slight twist to it. It is made with BORA SAUL.
Bora saul is a variety of glutinous rice found in Assam, India.
Let me show you how is it made.
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED:
1. Sticky rice
2. Minced chicken. You can also use minced mutton instead of chicken.
3. Flour
4. Peprica powder
5. Mustard powder
6. Home made seasoned and flavoured breadcrumbs/panco
7. Salt
8. Some Italian seasoning.
9. Aluminium foil
10. Cooking oil
11. Tandoori Mayonnaise
12. Red onions,tomatoes and some leafy vegetable(optional)
LETS GET STARTED:
Take a bowl and add the minced chicken, 1 teaspoon flour, 1 teaspoon mustard powder, peprica powder as per taste, a pinch of salt and 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Mix everything well till they bind together.
Apply some oil on your palms and gently make the chicken patties with the minced mixture. Fry thechicken patties untill they are golden brown. Keep them aside.
Bol some sticky rice with a little salt and white pepper. I have used BORA SAUL which is abundantly available in Assam.
Add oil on your palms and mould the boiled sticky rice into rice cakes, which will work as the buns of a regular burger.
Then shallow fry the Rice cakes with some cooking oil on a non stick pan.
All the elements are ready.
HOW TO SERVE?
Place one fried Rice cake and add a generous amount of tandoori mayonnaise on it. Add round slices of Red onions and tomatoes on top. Further, add the fried chicken patty and the second rice cake at the top again. You can also add your favourite leafy vegetable such as rocket leaves, baby spinach or iceberg lettuce to enhance the dish.
Now, make it and enjoy.
