Fruit roll-ups are absolute easy and delicious as they look and sound. I pamper mine and my sisters' sweet teeth with these Fruit and cream roll-ups very often. Let me help you out with the recepi.....
INGRIDIENTS REQUIRED:
1. Flour( for the pasty dough)
8. Fruits of your choice. I preferred starwberries and apples
METHOD:
Using refined flour, some unsalted butter and a pinch of salt, make the pastry dough and keep it aside to rest for a while.
Then roll the dough into circular thin pastries like a roti.
Add a thick layer of fresh cream and top it up with strawberries and apples and roll up the pastry. Repeat with different fruits of your choice.
Meanwhile, take one whole egg, some powdered sugar and cinnamon powder and mix the entire mixture properly. Take the roll ups and dip it into the egg mixture completely.
Further, take some bread crumbs and coat the roll ups with the breadcrumbs.
The last step:
Take a pan and heat cooking oil or butter. Shallow fry the fruit rolls untill crispy and golden brown.
HOW TO SERVE?
Place the fruit rolls on a plate, pour cream on the fruit rolls followed by strawberry syrup extracted from the starwberries. Further sprinkle some castor or powdered sugar on top of the rolls. You can also serve it with vanilla ice cream.
