Like always, I gave little twist to these gulab jamuns which can be easily made at home at an instant and you do not have to go to any sweet shop when your sweet tooth calls in for action.

METHOD:

Step 1:

Take a few slices of bread and tear them into small chunks. Add milk or cream and 1-2 tea spoon sugar and mash them up into a fine dough. You need to kneed the dough until it looks like the usual dough made of flour. Make small balls out of the dough with a raisin stuffed inside each. Keep them aside.

Step 2: MAKE THE SUGAR SYRUP

Take 1 cup of sugar and half a cup of water in a non stick pan and heat the sugar-water mixture until it caramelizes and turns into a sugar syrup. Crush some cardamom pods and add into the syrup for extra taste. Keep the syrup aside.

Step 3: Heat some refined oil in a pan and deep fry the balls made out of bread and milk and fry them untl they are brown in colour, just like a gulab jamun.

Step 4: Now stir the fried gulab jamuns into the sugar syrup for another 10 minutes and then soak them in the syrup for 1-2 hours.

Serve the Gulab jamuns chilled with a drizzle of the sugar syrup on top and enjoy…..

Happy Cooking….
